Immigration brings Creative Innovation and Talent to New Zealand

Talented documentary director and producer, Dan Shanan, is part of the new wave of creative immigrants to New Zealand . The Immigration Policy has over the years drawn large numbers of business people and entrepreneurs to New Zealand but less known are the fresh and innovative creative talents that have arrived on our shores.

Dan, who has lived and worked in America, Europe and the Middle East, is an established television documentary maker who made the decision to come to New Zealand foregoing many opportunities overseas to further his career.

“It is exciting to be part of the creative community shaping New Zealand 's rapidly evolving cultural identity” says Dan.

Dan brought to New Zealand his highly popular Video/DVD Gift concept which he originally established in The Netherlands. His passion for story telling and recording people's memories inspired him to establish Timeline Productions, to make documentaries and Video/DVD Gifts.

When Peter and Edith celebrated their 25 th anniversary, their family was looking for that special gift to give them. When Boris celebrated his 65 th birthday, his family was looking for a unique gift to give him. When Tomer suddenly passed away, at age 28, his family was looking for a special way to remember him. When Matan reached 13, his family was looking for another element to add to his Bar Mitzvah party.
